Get your game face on, the AWIHL is back!!

Season 2017/2018 is here and it promises to be a great one.

The teams have been working hard throughout the winter months to secure their imports and lock in their lineups for the 2017/2018 AW Season.

Adelaide Rush travel to Sydney to meet the 2017/18 Joan McKowen Champions – Sydney Sirens, who won a thrilling double overtime and shootout Grand Final against Brisbane Goannas at Canterbury in March this year. The Sirens will no doubt step back on to the rink with the confidence of a securing the major and minor premierships last season.

Rush will be looking to show everyone the hard work they have put into their offseason, and fans will be excited to see the new imports who will make Adelaide their home for the next six months.

The silver medalists Brisbane Goannas hit the road bound for Melbourne where they meet Melbourne Ice. The Goannas have had a long winter thinking about how incredibly close they came to clinching their first ever AWIHL Championship. They will be rearing to go and ready to show Melbourne Ice they won’t go away. Ice return this year with some fresh new faces on their team including the return of League highest points scorer from last season, star import Christina Julien.

The match up between Goannas and Ice is set to be an exciting one considering how close all their match up’s were last season. Game time is 5pm Melbourne time and tickets available at: http://www.obriengrouparena.com.au
