ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR ICE HOCKEY LEAGUE SEASON

Published Tue 22 Sep 2020

IHA is disappointed to announce that the AJIHL season for 2020/21 has been cancelled.  Following a meeting on Friday night with all the States and team commissioners it was unanimously agreed that the 20/21 season could not proceed. The COVID-19 situation throughout Australia continues to pose difficult challenges for our sport.  The continued border closures, quarantine requirements for interstate travel and the Victorian lockdown are the contributing factors and unfortunately there does not seem an end in sight that enables teams to prepare and compete nationally.

This is a major disappointment for AJIHL players and the team staff.  This is an important league to IHA and we look forward to the next season of the AJIHL and to build on the successes of the 2019/20 season.
