Ice Hockey Australia Organisational Update
Melbourne, Australia – Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) has announced that General Manager, Adam Woolnough, and Senior Finance and Administration Officer, Kylie Taylor, will be leaving the organisation, with Adam concluding his role in early 2026 and Kylie finishing at the end of 2025.
The decision comes amid IHA’s continued focus on financial sustainability and strategic planning to ensure the long-term growth and success of ice hockey in Australia.
IHA President Tim Kitching acknowledged Adam and Kylie’s strong leadership and contributions over the past three years, saying:
“Adam has guided IHA through a period of significant progress and change. His passion for Australian sport and commitment to growing the game nationally and internationally have left a lasting legacy. On behalf of the IHA Board, we thank Adam for his dedication and wish him the very best in his next chapter.”
“Kylie has been involved with hockey for two decades as a dedicated volunteer, and the last 12 months working for IHA. Kylie’s contribution over that period has been significant and as a champion for particularly Women’s programs, we are deeply grateful.’
Reflecting on his time with IHA, Adam said:
“It has been an incredible privilege to serve the Australian ice hockey community. I am proud of what we’ve achieved together — from building stronger international relationships with the International Ice Hockey Federation, other hockey playing nations, as well as locally with the Australian Sports Commission, Australian Olympic Committee and Paralympics Australia. IHA has developed participation programs and created opportunities for the next generation through Street Hockey via the ASC Sporting Schools program.
Our participation in the Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2024 and Women’s Para World Championship recently were great achievements. With awareness of ice hockey at a high in Australia; I look forward to watching the next phase of growth and success".
IHA has commenced a transition process to ensure continuity and maintain momentum across all programs and initiatives.
