Led by Head Coach Dawn Watt, who has also recently been selected to the Australian Institute of Sport Para Coach Experiential Learning Program, the team is now in the final stages of preparation for the World Championships. Watt’s selection to the AIS program is a significant recognition of her leadership and commitment to the development of para-athletes in Australia, and her participation will further strengthen the high-performance pathway for the sport.

“I’m stoked about being able to name so many players to the team who have the ability to compete at this level” said Coach Watt. “To see all of the para communities come together to support these players to improve their skills, sets us up for a strong future with Women’s Para Ice Hockey.”

The team will be supported by Team Manager, Michaela Fellowes, making her debut with the squad, and IHA Para Coordinator, Bill Siegloff, who will continue to assist with off-ice preparation and logistics in the lead-up to departure.

Australia’s participation in the Women’s Para World Championships marks another milestone in the growth of para ice hockey nationally, and the team is eager to represent the green and gold with pride.

Additional positions will be advertised soon, including assistant coach, equipment manager, and physio. Stay tuned to Ice Hockey Australia social media and website for announcements.
