IIHF announcement for 2027 tournaments

Following the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Annual Congress, the dates and host locations for Australia’s 2027 World Championship campaigns have now been confirmed, providing certainty for planning and preparation to formally commence across all national team programs.

Australia’s 2027 IIHF World Championship tournaments are confirmed as follows:

Australian Women’s National Team (Aussie Flyers)
IIHF Women’s World Championship – Division II, Group A

Australian Women’s U18 National Team (Junior Flyers)
IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship – Division II, Group A
📍 Istanbul, Turkiye
📅 25–31 January 2027

Australian Men’s National Team (Mighty Roos)
IIHF Men’s World Championship – Division II, Group A
📍 Al Ain, United Arab Emirates
📅 19–25 April 2027

Australian Men’s U20 National Team (Mighty Bucks)
IIHF U20 Men’s World Championship – Division II, Group B
📍 Belgrade, Serbia
📅 17–23 January 2027

Australian Men’s U18 National Team (Mighty Jacks)
IIHF U18 Men’s World Championship – Division II, Group B

With tournament schedules now confirmed, Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) will commence coordinated planning across player preparation, coaching and staffing, logistics, medical and performance support, and operational readiness to ensure Australia’s national teams are best prepared for international competition and success in the 2027 World Championship season.
