AWIHL GAMES 32 & 34 ADELAIDE RUSH VS MELBOURNE ICE

On Saturday 10 February 2024, game 32 of the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League, (AWIHL) was held between Adelaide Rush and Melbourne Ice at the Adelaide Ice Arena, South Australia. During the game, which began at 4:45pm local time, many players from the Melbourne Ice and Rush teams became unwell. Players from both teams were taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital showing symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning.

IHA HOSTS SUCCESSFUL VIRTUAL NATIONAL OFFICIATING SEMINAR

Over two days in the last weekend of February Ice Hockey Australia hosted the inaugural Virtual National Officiating Seminar. This seminar, open to all officials in IHA was attended by over 50 officials from all member states and association. Additional attendees from various coaching and disciplinary portfolios where also able to participate. While this was the first time IHA has ever been able to address all officials in a single forum, it was also the first use of virtual officiating seminars
