STATEMENT FROM THE ICE HOCKEY AUSTRALIA BOARD

The Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) Board is working with Ice Hockey New South Wales (IHNSW), Ice Hockey Western Australia (IHWA), IHA’s Tournament Director, IHA Referee in Chief, the DeFris National Tournament Match Officials, and other relevant parties to investigate on-ice incidents that occurred late in the match DeFris Tournament Gold Medal Match on Sunday.

IHA ELECTED DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS

Recently, Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) announced that they would be accepting applications for three elected director positions. Applications have since closed for the positions and the directors will be elected at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. We are pleased to provide details for each of the applicants based on their submissions.

2022 CALL FOR ELECTED DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS At the upcoming Annual General Meeting of Ice Hockey Australia Limited, there will be an election for three Elected Director positions: Elected Director 1 – The position vacated by Tanya Brunt that was left vacant Elected Director 2 – The position held by Joe Dwyer whose first term will expire Elected Director 3 – The position vacated by Jimmy Dufour that was left vacant The term of directors is 3 years.

PRESS RELEASE: Australian National Team Participation World Championships 2022, Senior Womens, IIHF Division II, Group B, March 22 – Croatia Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) has made the difficult decision to withdraw from the 2022 IIHF Division II, Group B, Women’s World Championships. IHA had hoped to send our first team overseas since the COVID outbreak, and we are disappointed to have to make this announcement.
